Rocky Mountain National Park - Estes Park, CO, July 2026

My family and I drove on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park in late July. One of the highest paved roads in the USA (if not the world?), we had a memorable experience showing our parents the state we love and call home.

My first (captured) natural awning - the Roger Toll Memorial! Standing over 12,500 feet above sea level, it is one of the most remarkable (and easiest-accessed) views in Colorado.

Aside from our visit to Rocky Mountain NP, we played a suspenseful game of miniature golf at Tinytown (Meadow) Mini Golf. It was the perfect activity after the park! We also took a Historical Tour of the Stanley Hotel, which I cannot recommend enough for tourists and Colorado locals alike. The Stanley family were true pioneers and embraced so much of what we all love about Colorado.

I also love animals, and checking into our cabin gave us the highlight of the trip - we shared a triplex with a family of moose! It took an entire hour for them to navigate their antlers inside the door. Thankfully, their ruckus was over before sunset, and they didn’t make a peep until we departed.
